Summer Wedding

A freelance job wherein I was tasked to photograph a wedding (prep, ceremony, post, and reception). With provided props, we staged a photoshoot in a park and utilized and posed the couple. I colour-corrected and graded to give a fun and trendy aesthetic to the image.

False Creek at Night

Here is a long exposure of False Creek in Vancouver at night. Taken around 12 midnight, this image highlights BC Place but also the skyline of Vancouver that is seen from False Creek. The goal of this image is to give the viewer a sense of how deceivingly calm the city is at night through […]

Garibaldi Lake Night Sky

On a hike with friends and family, the evening landed on a new moon. We found a spot in Garibaldi Provincial Park by the lake to capture the milky way, the glacier, and the lake all in one composition. To prepare for this shot, I brought with me various equipment but at the core of […]

Garry Point Sunset

Taken on one of the last days of 2016, I made my way to the beach in Garry Point.  My goal was to create a sense of peace and nostalgia, which I tried to deliver through the still-looking water with the sunset in the background. I have not travelled to many places but another goal […]

Garibaldi Lake Sunrise

The morning after hiking and camping at Garibaldi Provincial Park. I woke up before the sunrise to find a good vantage point to capture the lake. I found a spot that had a complete composition: a foreground, a subject, and a background. The goal of this image was to highlight the lake and the glaciers […]

Lighthouse from The Ferry

My family was headed to Victoria for the weekend and I brought my camera with me. While on the ferry, I made my way to the sun deck to enjoy the view and the breeze. It was when we approached the many small islands that I saw an opportunity to create a story. As I […]

The Rockies

On the way to Edmonton one weekend, my plane flew over the rockies and its countless mountains. From my seat, I saw a domineering mountain higher than most and saw an opportunity to capture the vastness of the landscape from an aerial view. Note that this was during the peak of the forest fires in […]

Lonsdale Quay Sunset

On a photowalk with other photographers, we made our way to Lonsdale Quay where we waited for the sunset. Instead of taking a shot from the usual vantage points in Lonsdale, we made our way down to the docks. I found an interesting subject in the boats that were docked. And so I waited for […]

Garibaldi Self-Portrait

The morning after hiking and camping at Garibaldi Provincial Park. I woke up before the sunrise to find a good vantage point to capture the lake. I found a spot that had a complete composition: a foreground, a subject, and a background. The goal of this image was to highlight the lake and the glaciers […]
